Jack Kursed

Jack Kursed is out. Here’s a link to send you over to the Jack Kursed page for links to take you to Amazon and Smashwords. Now Dead Living is all by itself in the coming soon column. πŸ™‚

I’ll put out the description here, in case anyone is on the fence. Hopefully this will grab some attention. These blurbs / descriptions are so hard to write.

The victim of a witch’s curse, Jack has been awake for two hundred years. Unable to die, unable to sleep, he’s trapped in a state of existence that no one can relate to, not even his vampire best friend Victoria.

Using his unique condition, he has helped Victoria in keeping the supernatural world at bay. Evil vampires, werewolves, and monsters have all died at their hand. But he’s about to face his biggest challenge, eight-year-old orphan Tiffany.

Tiffany shows Jack a side of life he’s never seen. A beautiful, hopeful world, where even someone full of rage and disdain for mortal life can find happiness.

However, when his new life and friends are in danger, Jack will unleash a fury two hundred years in the making.

Jack Kursed takes place in the same world as Demonspawn and A Witch To Live, so if you enjoyed those two novels, you may enjoy Jack’s story. I’ve never created a character like Jack before, and I imagine some readers will like following his tale, and others will not like him at all. I had a great time writing him, but he is not the typical hero I’ve written about before. He’s definitely not Alex or Kevin. He does not discover amazing powers within him and use them to defend people. Jack is the victim of a witch’s curse that grants him immortality. Immortality may sound like fun, but not only can he not die, but he also can’t sleep. This simple fact twists him over the years. He is bitter, jealous of mortals, and does not care about them as a whole.

As with my other novels, I tried to add flavor if you’ve read Demonspawn and/or A Witch to Live (and if you haven’t, why haven’t you? πŸ™‚ ) but you should be able to follow Jack’s story without doing so. Victoria the vampire returns once again (along with a surprise or two), and I enjoyed fleshing out the relationship she has with Jack. I may have to take a shot at giving her her own novel one day.

I hope you enjoy it. Feel free to leave a review if you did or didn’t. πŸ™‚
